[Finally] Summer.

Summer's here!

Finally. Oh boym how long I had to wait for this.

Since Thursday, I am officially done with all of my exams and if I didn't fail any, yeah, I am practically graduated! Not officially - my graduation will actually be in July or so - but yeah... No school & no exams for me anymore, and that is all that counts for now. :)

I am really happy to say that the weather has decided to reward me with the most wonderful, summer-y weather: Sun, sun, sun for the sunchild Kat! This improves my mood a lot  indeed, as I am really meteorosensitive and get the worst depressions during the dark winter months...

Anyhow, today, I've spent an awesome day with my best friend: We've had fun, fro-yo & simply a great time in the sun. 

Lots of girl-y talk & stuff, and yeah, it was gorgeous!

She also rewarded me for being one with my exams with a super cool cup!

 

 I love the cute little husky on the inside especially.

When we went to the comic shop, I got a huge flashback and suddenly craved for a new manga! I used to be a manga addict some time ago and have loooots of them on my bookshelf... Unfortunately, ED makes us forget about our passions, and this is what happened in this case as well. However, as my friend is the best, she also got me a manga & made me a truly happy girl.

I'm off now - today's the Eurovision Song Contest (not a big deal in America, of course, but as y'all know, I live in Europe!) & well, I'm excited who wins. I even sort of like Germany's contestant, and that means a lot as I hated all of them the past few years, haha...

WIAW [#6]: Someday, I'll own a bakery...

...or not.

Because yeah, I love baking, but I certainly need to practice a bit more when it comes to yeast-bread.

During the past week, I've tried some yeast-recipes (to not only overcome my food-fears but my yeast-fear as well) and well, they've been partly successful, partly... not so much. But hey, everything tasted delicious though, so at least, I didn't have to bin it. :P

Whole-Wheat Cinnamon Swirl Bread.

 Obviously, it looked quite pretty with the disired cinnamon-swirl, but I found it a bit dry, so cream cheese or peanut butter were a MUST in this case. The dough didn't turn out as it should have done; it was very hard to knead (and roll it up!) because it was so darn sticky! I don't know what went wrong, honestly, so if anyone has another recipe for Cinnamon Swirl Bread, I'd be thankful if you'd share. :)

Milk & Cornflakes Bread.

 I was hooked by the idea of cornflakes (one of my all-time faves!) in a fluffy sandwich-like bread... But unfortunately, it didn't turn out like a Sandwich Bread at all. Rather dense instead of soft & fluffy, which I really hadn't foreseen as I had rather been afraid this would happen to my Cinnamon Swirl Bread because I used ww-flour (all-purpose only for the Cornflakes Bread). Disappointing. It tastes really yummy though, especially with my super-secret favorite topping... Sweetened condensed milk! Seriously, it's so good - and highly addictive.

What turned out wonderfully were my

Mini Whole-Wheat English Muffins.

 They looked super cute & everyone loved them. My sister is constantly begging for more since they're gone, haha!

Well, I won't give up, anyhow, and maybe, I'll be a yeast-expert in the end, who knows? :P

Apart from yeast-y carbs, I also had mini-popovers by the way!

They were so cute and delicious; crispy on the outside & fluffy on the inside. :)

Of course, they had to be slathered in tomato sauce (since I was out of ketchup. OMG! It was hell. So glad I re-stocked!)

Banana Honey Oatmeal Streusel Bread -  with peanut butter, of course.

And obviously, since I'm in love with them...

Red apples. Preferably, with cinnamon hummus. And Haley, it's simply hummus with cinnamon mixed in (and a few drops of stevia/ some maple syrup, to make it a little bit sweeter)! ;)

Oh, and please wish me luck for my oral exam tomorrow! I'm so scared I'm dyiiiiing...
